Royal Holiday Scam at Grand Riviera Princess Mexico - vacation club membership

We want to cancel our membership with Royal Holiday Club and get a 100% refund because the membership was sold to us based on lies, deceiving, misleading, and fraudulent information. We were tricked and scammed into purchasing the membership.
We purchased our membership at Grand Riviera Princess in Mexico during our vacation last week. Filberto and Susanna were the first two low grade sales who harassed us into accepting the so-called welcome breakfast meeting. Doru was the first salesperson who had breakfast with us. Nemanja was the salesperson who ultimately sold us the membership. Marisela was the lady with the paperwork; her job was to tell us %u201Csign here and initial there%u201D. She did not explain any details regarding the contract. During the rest of our vacation in Mexico, we visited the Royal Holiday office daily with questions, doubts, and concerns we have about the membership. Many details were not explained clearly, therefore we had many questions. We expressed that we wanted to cancel the membership. Each time we visited the office, Nemanja and staff would reassure us the membership will work just great for us despite our expressed concerns. They kept saying we will realize our savings on future vacations very soon, and told us not to worry. We decided to request an airfare quote to Punta Cana for a short trip for the following month to test out the membership. Nemanja promised that we would save so much on airfare. He asked us to send him the flights we want to take, so he can get me better prices. However, he gave us the run around that he at first put in the wrong dates, and later he promised to send me an email with the quotes. We never received the quotes from him. This going back and forth with questions and answers soon took up the 5-day cancellation window that we can no longer cancel without a battle.

Upon our return home, we immediately contacted the member service center in an effort to plan a short trip to Punta Cana to test out the membership. During the process of trying to plan for this short trip, we learned that everything we were told at the sales meeting by Nemanja was deceiving. He lied about the savings we would get through Royal Holiday (at least 50% off retail airfare). We just learned from the advisors that they normally do not work with airfare (they need to contact their travel agent to get the quotes for airfares, therefore it may take up to 48 hours for an airfare quote), and hotel reservations are what they handle normally. After three days (not counting the days Nemanja wasted in Mexico) of trying to get an airfare quote to Punta Cana, we still have not received any quotes. The advisors never called us back. We had to keep calling. After paying nearly $10,000 to join the vacation club, we get the run around to our request like we are bothering them. Also the cheap meal plan we were promised by Nemanja is not true. It is actually cheaper to book on my own or through my travel agent than to book through Royal Holiday. Why would anyone need to purchase the membership?!
We have written emails to Nemanja to let him know we want to cancel our membership, but he never replied. We also sent an email to Carmen, new member service supervisor, informing her of our decision to cancel our membership and asked her to forward the email to the appropriate department to process and to record. We also did not get any reply from her or from any other department. We also send cancellation requests to multiple departments, but also no replies. Emails addresses we wrote to are: service@royal-holiday.com; commentsquality@royal-holiday.com; tcperez@royal-holiday.com; mctorres@royal-holiday.com.

One of the most common scams at the moment of purchase is that Royal Holiday’s sales person will make you any verbal promise to get you to sign their contract, however the contract clearly states that any verbal promise made by the sales associated are invalid unless those promises are establish within the contract. I recently read an article about Royal Holiday at http://www.timesharescam.com, it may be helpful.
